- Do I have to be connected to the internet to use JobTracker?
- No. JobTracker is installed on your computer in your office. Unlike some competing products, if your internet connection is down, you can still access all your data and run your business.
- Do I have to pay for each user?
- No. JobTracker is installed on a single machine in your office, and we charge for this single installation. Any number of users in your office can access JobTracker through Internet Explorer. The more people who are using the software, the more valuable it will be to your company. See the How To Buy page for more details.
- Do you charge to add a new feature for us?
- We are continually adding new features that our customers request, but we do not charge for this service. When we add a feature that's been requested by one shop, all our customers benefit from it. See the What's New page for the most recent additions to the product.
- How does JobTracker integrate with QuickBooks?
- JobTracker quotes can be exported to QuickBooks invoices or estimates. To export a quote, freeze the revision of the quote, then click the Export to QuickBooks button.
- What version of QuickBooks do I need to export Quotes from JobTracker?
- QuickBooks 2002 or later, Pro, Premier or Enterprise edition.
- How does JobTracker integrate with Peachtree?
- JobTracker quotes can be exported to Peachtree invoices. To export a quote, freeze the revision of the quote, then click the Export to Peachtree button.
- What version of Peachtree do I need to export Quotes from JobTracker?
- Peachtree Accounting for Windows or Peachtree Complete Accounting for Windows V7 or later.
- Can I create an estimate by drawing a picture of the countertop?
- JobTracker does not create drawings, but you can attach any kind of drawing to a quote or job (CAD files, scans of hand-drawn images, etc.)
- Will JobTracker work with my product lines?
- Almost certainly! Our customers currently use JobTracker with solid surface, natural stone, engineered stone, laminate, cultured marble and cast polymer products. These include Corian, Zodiaq, Silestone, Formica, Wilsonart, Avonite, and more. JobTracker gives you complete control over customizing your product setup, so you can decide how you want to manage your pricing, purchasing and inventory.
- What kind of computer and software do I need to run JobTracker?

System requirements for clients accessing JobTracker:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or later.
System Requirements for the server where JobTracker will be installed:
- Windows 2000, Windows 2003 or Windows XP Professional. (We do not support XP Home because it does not include IIS.)
- Recommend 1GHz or faster processor
- Recommend 512MB RAM
- Recommend at least 200MB free disk space
- What database does JobTracker use?
- JobTracker uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to make sure you will never outgrow the capabilities of the database. The JobTracker installer comes with the SQL Server Express, but if you have already purchased the standard or enterprise edition of SQL Server 2005, JobTracker can use that.
- How many users can access JobTracker at once?
- JobTracker is only limited by the version of Windows running on your JobTracker server.
- Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional limit the number of concurrent web client sessions. If you expect to frequently have more than 10 concurrent users accessing JobTracker, we recommend you use Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server.
- What kind of security is in JobTracker?
- JobTracker is password protected for each individual user's account. You may also limit the type of access for each user. The Administrator user has complete access. You can restrict the other user accounts to read-only access, or grant them permission to edit only certain kinds of data.
