Creating Remnants

Remnants can be created for serialized products. This article describes how to create a remnant on the Serial Number Detail page.

For serial numbers allocated to jobs, you should create a remnant on the Job Detail page.

1. On the Inventory page click on the serial number and select "View Serial Number Detail". (You can go to Inventory > Search and then type in the serial number to locate it if necessary.)

3. Enter the measurements of the remnant or for products without measurements enter the quantity and click OK
   
4. A new serial number is created for the remnant and the On-Hand Balance is adjusted.
   
5. (Optional) To remove any remaining On-Hand balance of the original serial number make an inventory adjustment
