The account name, address lines, customer PO, salesperson and line items from individual JobTracker quotes can be exported to QuickBooks (QuickBooks 2002 or later, Pro, Premium or Enterprise edition) or Peachtree (Peachtree Complete Accounting for Windows V7 or later).
Follow the steps below to export a quote.

- Go to Quote > View Quotes and double-click on the name of the quote you want to export. The Quote Type must be "Account". You can not export a Standalone or Template quote.
- Click the
button and enter a description such as "Exported to QuickBooks". (Freezing a quote, keeps a copy and prevents accidental changes to the quote. To make changes to a quote that has been frozen, click the Edit Quote... button.)

- There will now be the new button
. Click this button and select Peachtree or QuickBooks.

- Click on the "Connect" button and complete the dialog boxes shown below. (Note: The screen images shown are for QuickBooks but the same process is used for Peachtree.) To export the quote to an "Estimate" in QuickBooks as opposed to an "Invoice", you must have Create Estimates selected on your company preferences in QuickBooks._

NOTE: If you receive the message "This application has not accessed this QuickBooks company data file before. The QuickBooks administrator must grant an application permission to access a QuickBooks company data file for the first time". In QuickBooks, go to Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications > Company Preferences to grant permission._
If you receive the message "ActiveX failed to load" - please see the troubleshooting section at the end of this article.

- Select Customer
- Use the drop down list to assign this quote to a customer in your accounting system. (In QuickBooks you also have the option to search for a customer.)
- Click in the check box Always Use this Customer to bypass this step when you export a quote with the same customer
- If the customer does not exist in your accounting system select the radio button to Add this customer to QuickBooks

- Select Salesperson
- Use the drop down list to assign the salesperson to a sales rep in your accounting system
- Click in the check box Always Use this Sales Rep... to bypass this step when you export a quote with the same salesperson

- Select Item
- Use the drop down list to assign the quote line item to an item in your accounting system
- Click in the check box Always Use this item... to bypass this step when you export this item again

- At the end of the process:
- For Peachtree, you'll see the message "Invoice has been created. You can post this invoice to the General Ledger from within your accounting system."
- For QuickBooks you'll see something like "Estimate #35 has been created in QuickBooks".
- Click Close
- Select Customer
Troubleshooting
You may receive this message the first time you do an export. Just click in the upper part of the dialog box to have the "Moraware JobTracker QuickBooks Link" installed on your computer. If you do not have the option to "Click here to install..." you will need to log onto your computer as an Administrator.

JobTracker has a Certificate. Click on "Yes, Always". If you click "Yes, This Time", you will see this dialog every time you export a quote.

Click "Yes"

To export the quote to an "Estimate" in QuickBooks as opposed to an "Invoice", you must have Create Estimates selected on your company preferences in QuickBooks.
