Nothing happens after I enter my user name and password into Moraware JobTracker
This occurs when the server name contains special characters.
Internet Explorer will not store cookies for servers with special characters in the name such as an underscore (_), number sign (#), or asterisk (*).
You can either:
- Connect to JobTracker using the IP address of the server instead of the Server Name
- Rename your Server
Below are the steps to find the IP address of the server where JobTracker is installed
- You must be on the server
- From the Start Menu, select Run
- Type "cmd" and click OK
- On the pop up window type in "ipconfig"
- The IP address along with some other info will be displayed.
Write down the IP address and use that number instead of the server name to connect to JobTracker
For example, in the JobTracker link, http://computername/virtualdirectory/, "computername" is the name of the machine where you installed JobTracker and "virtualdirectory" is the name you chose during installation. (The default virtual directory is "JobTracker".) replace "computername" with the IP address. http://192.168.x.xxx/jobtracker/
