When I use the option to Add Material from Job to this PO - the allocated sq. ft. is transferred to the Quantity field. I want to show the number of slabs instead.

Enter a default measurement for your purchase product.
1. Go to Purchasing > Edit Purchase Products
2. In the product column, double-click on the product to Edit
3. Enter the Default Measurement
