Correct the color on a serial number

Question

We created a serial number (not using a Purchase Order) and selected the wrong color. How can we fix it?

Answer

You will have to delete it and then add it back.

To delete the serial number:

1. Print out or jot down any information you will need to re-add the serial number - dimensions, location etc.
2. Go to Inventory >Search and type in the serial number.
3. Click on the serial number and select View Serial Number Detail
4. You should see a Transaction for Create Serial Number
5. Click on the Reference and choose Delete

To add back:

1. Go to Inventory-> View Inventory.
2. Click on any name in the Product Variant column, and choose View Inventory Transactions...
3. Click the Options... button and choose the product variant you want to add and then click OK
4. On the Inventory Transactions page, click on New Serial Number button, enter the desired information and click OK
5. If desired you can click on the serial number and select Edit Serial number to change the number
