Adios, old versions of Internet Explorer!

Jan 8, 2016 | News

For the last few months, we’ve been urging our users to stop using old versions of Internet Explorer.

Starting next Tuesday, Microsoft is officially dropping support for IE 8, 9, and 10… plus all of the older versions, which haven’t been supported for a while.

End of life means the old browsers won’t receive security updates or any other kind of patches, leaving them wide open to new viruses and other threats in the future.

That means Internet Explorer 11 is the only version of Microsoft’s old browser that’s left supported. But, if you’re on Windows 10, you also have the option of using their new browser, called Edge..

So long farewell Internet explorer

If you’re still using any version of Internet Explorer below 11, it’s time to upgrade now, before you run into trouble. Or, you can use Google Chrome or Firefox, which are both great browsers, too.
