Attaching files, labeling seams, and regional terminology

by | Sep 17, 2012 | CounterGo

There are three updates to talk about this week.

1) Attach multiple files to JobTracker and CounterGo

You can now attach multiple files to a job or quote in one step. This works on current versions of Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 10. (IE10 will be released with Windows 8 next month.) When you click the “Attach File” button on a supported browser, the dialog has an additional section labeled “drop files here.” You can drag & drop multiple files from the file explorer onto the dialog. When you click OK the files will be sent to the server one at a time, and you can see the progress as they complete.

2) Labeling seams on layout

When you click a countertop piece on the layout, there are now labels that mark each seam on the counter. This lets you identify all the pieces for that counter, along with how each is oriented on the slab.

3) Upstands, hobs and tap holes

If you know what that means, then you probably care a lot about this. If you don’t like our American countertop jargon, you can now use your own. You can rename “backsplash” to “upstand” or “cooktop” to “hob”. To change these settings, go to Quote > Edit Settings and click the “Customize Text” tab. There are a number of terms that you can change. And if there are other region-specific terms used in CounterGo that are foreign to you, please let us know.
