Emailing PDF’s as attachments

Jan 11, 2016 | CounterGo Tips, JobTracker Tips

In both Moraware JobTracker and CounterGo, all of the printable forms get created as PDF’s.

In CounterGo, we’ve got a built-in way to email those countertop quotes as a link. That’s really cool, because you can see when the homeowner actually popped open the quote you sent them.

But, you might want to also email JobTracker forms to your employees or customers.

If you’re using Internet Explorer as your browser it opens the Adobe Acrobat browser by default. Acrobat lets you email the PDF with just one more click. But, if you’re using Chrome or Firefox, those browsers have their own PDF readers which are a bit more limited.

So, if you’re using Chrome or Firefox, you can save those PDF’s to your desktop then attach them to an email. Or, you can disable the built-in PDF viewers.

Here’s a 2-minute video on how to do it in Chrome:

There are a ton of other PDF viewers with various options. Another popular one in the Nitro reader, which has many of the same features as Acrobat.
