Free granite inventory spreadsheet and toolkit

by | May 18, 2015 | Business

Inventory is a big deal for countertop fabricators. Based on what I’ve seen and heard from our customers, between 1/3 and 1/2 of your direct costs are tied to your granite slab inventory.

So, it’s not surprising that we get asked to help with that part of the business. And, in fact, we have JobTracker Inventory Edition just for that purpose.

But, our software isn’t right for everyone. Specifically, if you’re just starting out or if you have an inventory of less than a hundred granite slabs – you don’t have an inventory problem that’s big enough for our software, yet.

We get incoming sales calls from lots of fabricators asking us about our Inventory Edition, but they’re not ready yet. Dealing with your granite inventory is hard, and if you haven’t tried solving it with free tools, you’re probably not ready for the next level.

So, we built a FREE inventory toolkit.

Part of the toolkit is a spreadsheet. After seeing hundreds of spreadsheets like this, we’ve tried to take the simplest and best practices and put them in one place. But even more than that, among our customers we have centuries of advice about how to manage your inventory. So, we’re trying to write it all down and share with the world (at least the world of countertop shops).

If you’re not tracking your granite inventory yet, and you have a hunch that you should… please check it out.

We’d love to hear feedback from you about this free granite inventory toolkit. It’s still pretty new, and we want to keep making it better.

Want to know more? At Moraware, we make software for countertop fabricators. CounterGo is countertop drawing, layout, and estimating software. JobTracker is scheduling software that helps you eliminate the time you waste looking for job folders. RemnantSwap is a free place to buy and sell granite remnants with fabricators near you.
